Great Big Sea, Canada's most successful rock/pop Newfoundland Bands, thrilled their audience at the Fergus Highland Games prelude concert on Aug 10. Over 5000 men, women and children were on their feet throughout the concert. Many fans were singing and dancing all the way through the concert. The fans were thrilled to have the chance to see one of the greatest Canadian bands to perform live at the Fergus Festival.
As reported to Atlantic Seabreeze by Margaret Walsh-Bembin, reporter and photographer for A/B website, Margaret said it was really a show you had to see in person to appreciate it. Words cannot convey the abundance of energy this band has--and it was evident when they did, Rant and Roar, a tune on one of their award winning CD's. To Margaret's dismay and everyone else, who was there, the show ended at 11 pm, as fans could have listened to Great Big Sea for many more hours But as they say, all good things must end at some point.
Here a few pictures of Great Big Sea taken by Margaret at the concert.
