Hauler is a new traditional Cape Breton Celtic Band consisting of Award winning fiddler Colin Grant and Steve MacDougall and Mike Lelievre formerly from the popular band Slowcoaster.

Steve and Mike have been sharing stages for almost 20 years bringing hard-hitting pop-rock to masses between Cheticamp, Cape Breton to China. Colin a classic traditional fiddler was Instrumental Artist of the Year at the 2017 Canadian Folk Music Awards and a versatile musician.

The trio weaves traditional Irish and Scottish ballads, indie folk originals, and traditional and contemporary tune instrumentals with a modern acoustic approach that proves Cape Breton music can reassuringly re-invent itself.

Mike plays guitar/bass and does vocals and Steve plays guitar and does vocals.

The group released their debut album, Hauler on May 1, 2020 and it was made with Jamie Foulds at his studio Soundpark Studios. The tracks were written by Stephen MacDougall and Colin Grant: composed by Colin Grant and Mike Lelievre: produced by Jamie Foulds.

The band released 2 videos called, The Widow's Vow and Wind That Shakes The Barley and can be downloaded on their website as well as the whole album.
