Melanie's country music idols are Lee Anne Rymes, Martina McBride and the Dixie Chicks. She hand picked all 11 songs on the CD, and the CD is full of great music that not only she loves but can also relate too. Being a young adult and experiencing life on her own, love, heartbreak, all of these new experiences have made her more sensative to the music she listens to and now the music that she records herself.
The title track from the CD was released to Canadian radio, and country music programmers across the country are now raving about this bright new star rising from the East. With her career goals now in sight Melanie Morgan is now ready to live her dream of making music.
UPDATE AS OF OCTOBER 2013
2008-Melanie recorded her second album with songs co-written in Nashville with George Teren, Wade Kurby, Rick Huckaby and Monty Criswell.
2009-Melanie released an Album - Goodbye Birmingham-She won in March 2010 she got national recognition for Country Recording of the Year at the East Coast Music Awards. Her single Single Not Tonight from this album got great reviews across Canada and was a the top 5 most added song on DMDS in it's first week out to radio.
2012-Melanie and Kevin Chase toured in China to rave reviews. This was the first ever tour by a Canadian Country act in China
2014-Melanie is working on a new album to be released in early 2014.
