Gordie MacKeeman plays fiddle and lives in Charlottetown. He is originally from Nova Scotia. He is one of the selected few invited to participate in the Canadian Grand Masters Fiddle Championships in Ottawa. He won numerous fiddling competitions. He has played numerous festivals in U.S. & Canada. He has shared the stage with Ron Hynes, John Allen Cameron, Ashley MacIssac, J.P. Cormier and many more. Thomas Webb plays guitar, steel guitar and does vocals while Mark Gebbes does upright bass and does vocals. The guys have honed their sound playing street corners, nightspots and social clubs.Whether it's a classic style honky-tonk number or one of their own, Nudie & The Turks are sure to excite the hillbilly in everyone.
They showcased at ECMA 2006 in Charlottetown, P.E.I. In three days they performed 13 gigs and released their debut self-titled CD. They attracted hundreds of people to their showcases and were the buzz throughout the whole ECMA's. They had people dancing at every show they played and had their audience crying for more. As a result of their exceptional performances, they got invitations from other bands to perform with them.
In 2006 they followed The Willie Nelson Maritime Tour and performed with Willie's Band members. It was a thrill of a lifetime for the band. On this tour they got rave reviews from everyone on the tour. Since 2006 they are performing everywhere to great reviews.
In May 2008 they released their second album entitled, LOOKING FOR A GOOD TIME, a collection of 13 great traditional country songs. For more information regarding Nudie and The Turks, refer to their website, address posted above.
