ASLauraLaveryProfileShot.gif Laura Lavery is surging onto the Country Music Scene. She is from Pontypool which is east of Lindsay, Ontario.

Laura, 19 years old now, has been making tapes on her karaoke machine since she was 12 years old. Seven years later, Laura released her first CD in June 1999. It is titled, The Beginning. There are 4 originals and 8 cover songs on it. The CD was recorded at Rumenal Records in Mississauga, Ontario and produced by Silverbirch Productions in Toronto. Her band, The Country Knights, backed her. Laura did most of the the harmonies. She sings Patsy Cline and Elvis cover tunes as well as, two songs that she herself co-wrote.

In 1999, Laura appeared in many events and festivals as well as on Breakfast Television, CityTV, Toronto, Ontario.

Her CD party was held on October 4, 1999 at The Moose Lodge in Lindsay.

In September, 1999, she competed in Texas at The Lone Star State Country Music Association Competition and Awards Show. She entered the International Female Vocalist and International Female Entertainer categories and won both awards. She was also presented with the American Horizon Award.

Laura's dream to be a Country Music Performer has now become a reality and hopes that reality continues on for many years in her career.
