Meet Kevin Parrish, 16 year old country music artist from Grand Valley, Ontario. Kevin placed second in his age category at the Canadian Singing Contest in Simcoe, Ontario this past summer 2005. He comes from a musical family. In fact Kevin performs with his dad, grandfather and uncle in the country band called, Midnight Special which has been performing for 20 years. Kevin was on stage at 6 months old and at 5 years old he sang his first song on stage in Marsville, Ontario. At age 10 he received his first guitar, and started taking lessions at Acoustic Traditions in Fergus, Ont. He astounded his teachers with his guitar playing and won awards for his playing.

He loves to sing and play the guitar and in September 2004, he wrote his first song entitled, The Dream. The song tells all about Kevin's dream of becoming a country music star. He performs at a number of locales and recently he has performed in Toronto at various country music jamborees. He is learning how to play the drums, banjo and hopes to play fiddle in the future. He is a well-rounded personable young man who wants more than anything to succeed as a singer, songwriter and all around musician.

Kevin donates his free time once a month performing for the residents of Highland Manor Retirement Home in Fergus. For the past 3 years, he has performed with his fathers band during the Shelburne Fiddling Contest in Shelburne, Ontario. He also sings on Jam night at the Commercial Tavern in Mary Hill, Ont. with Paul and Sue Weber.

He is a country boy at heart who loves the farm, horses and country music Kevin is also active in sports and loves soccer, skate boarding, stunt biking, dirt biking, lacrosse and hockey. For more information regarding Kevin and his music, refer to his website, address posted above.
