Jamie Watling, is a Country Music Singer/Songwriter, living and performing

in Toronto. He was born in Woodstock, Ontario in 1964, however his roots are in New Brunswick where his parents were born. He began writing songs in grade 7 and when he was 8 performed at his graduating class with his father on fiddle. He then began entering Canadian Open Country Singing Contests and won a third place trophy in two seperate years. In the early years, he played at a lot of barn-parites, where he met his wife, Leslee. He performed in back-up bands, and finally put together his own band, Jamie Watling and The Hix. They performed all over Toronto and other cities as well . He also performs solo from time to time.

His music influences are; Buck Owens, Winfield Watling, Hank Williams, Tanita Tickerman, George Strait, The Beatles, Johnny Cash, Merle Hagard, Hank Snow and James Taylor. He plays guitar and banjo besides singing. He has had two CD's released entitled, Different Trails and Grassy Hills Nevada. He also had International Television exposure, followed by producing a live family showcase music show.

His band members come and go, and Jamie continues to pursue his music in Country music. In Toronto, they have performed at The New Moon Cafe in the Beaches, The New Bloor Tavern, Broncos, The Wembly Tavern and many more. The band is focused around the novelty of Jamie Watling, a campfire country singer. Jamie is often performing solo at a ranch south of the border, a week-end getaway horse ranch with 300 acres of trails.
