Meet Charlie A'Court is a , blues/soul/singer/songwriter from Halifax, N.S. He was born and raised in MacAllum's Settlement, a small community outside of Truro, Nova Scotia. He started performing clubs at the age of 16. As years went by, Charlie found out that he could hold his own when performing with rhythm and blues heavyweights such as The Carson Dowey Band, Frank MacKay & The Lincolns and Dutch Mason. Now Charlie is teaching his audiences that you don't have to be old to feel the blues, you just have to feel.

Some influences that have made a strong impact on both Charlie vocally and in his guitar ability include such artists like, B.B. King, Keb' Mo, Johnny Lang, Frank MacKay, Eric Clapton, Gordie Sampson, Colin James and the late Stevie Ray Vaughan.

During ECMA 2002 in Saint John, New Brunswick, Charlie was the Buzz act all week-end. He performed an incredible showcase and as a result, he created a stir in the music industry. He opened the show for The Commitments in March '02 with a full house at The Rebecca Cohn Auditorium in Halifax which he captivated the audience from start to finish causing the audience to forget it wasn't him they had paid to see.

In October '02, he toured in the US with a performance in Lafayette, Chicago, Nashville, Memphis and several locations in Texas. This November, he is getting ready to launch his debut CD entitled, Color Me Gone on the 13th in Halifax. The outstanding CD is a must for blues/soul music lovers and the CD review is posted on this website in the New Release section. The CD contains 12tracks all of which are filled with powerful guitar riffs and gritty vocals.

Charlie was chosen to receive the Galaxie Nova Award at the Nova Scotia Music Awards in October for the New Artist Showing Promise. To read more about Charlie and his music, refer to his website-address posted above.

UPDATE AS OF AUGUST 2013

Charlie A' Court released his new album entitled, TRIUMPH & DISASTER in early 2013 produced by Chris Kirby to rave reviews. It is a follow-up to his winning album in 2012 entitled, SUN IS GONNA SHINE. The new albumfeatures 13 new songs by Charlie and by the reviews, it is a sure award winner.

Charlie continues to tour and had finished an Australian Tour earlier this past year. He showcased at Folk Alliance Internatioal in Toronto in February 2013 and was well received by all delegates.

Charlie is now touring Australia in November 2015.
