The Irish Descendants, formed in 1990, are adored by audiences all over the world. The band has well produced albums and their award-winning recordings, ranging dynamically from the most sensitive and touching ballads, to high energy toe tapping reels, have achieved a major following of fans. Band members are: Con O�Brien, Mike Hanrahan, Byron Pardy, Kelly Russell and Paul �Boomer� Stamp. They released their first album entitled, Misty Morning Shore, in 1991 and the rest is history.

They have released eight albums in ten years and won countless awards with their music. They have traveled extensively across Canada and abroad and made many Television appearances. They were featured performers in the theatrical production of Needfire, launched by the Mirvish Organization at the Princess of Wales Theatre in Toronto in the summer of 1998.

They have appeared in many major festivals including, Cleveland, Chicago and Boston. They have performed at the International Festival of The Sea in England in 1998. In 2001, they toured most of the year, and recorded two albums, Blooming Bright Star and The Gift. The Gift, a Christmas Album, has just been released and is a heartfelt beautiful album. The songs were all played and sung with the warmth and virtuosity you have come to expect from the band. Con wrote a personal song for the album called, Heading Home For Christmas, which is a winner. The Irish Descendants 2024 Christmas tour begins November 22 and ends December 22, 2024.

The tour includes Mark Manning and Aaron Collins from the Band Rum Ragged.
