The Country Music Industry is in mourn to loose one of the most brilliant music artists of all time. Her songwriting was outstanding and always received ravereviews for writings.
Melba wa born in Iron City, Tenn on October 14, 1938. She was one of the community's most talented members and the news of her death made a devastating effect for all Country Music Lovers and The Grand Ole Opry.
Her most famous song writing songs was, MUST BEEN OUT OF OUR MIND, asong duet with Legend George Jones. Both she & Jones sang many songs together and were considered the best duo in country music history ever. Their songs together were, Party Pickin-Lets Invite Them Over, You Comb Her Hair, Whats in Our Hearts and countless others.
Melba and many other solo hits such as, No Charge, Angel of The Morning, Don't Let The Good Times Fool You and many others. The song No Charge was her bigget hit in 1974 written by Harlan Howard.
Melba wrote songs extensively in the 90's and one of her written songs was, What Do You Say To That recorded by famous Country Music Legend, George Strait.
A famous song written by Melba, The Day I Loose My Mind, was released with Legend George Jones on July 3, 2009 and made the charts.
Melba also recorded with Gene Pitney and Charlie Lovin.
Atlantic Seabreeze along with countless other Country Music Fans are in shock upon her death and express our condolences to Melba's Family.
Visitation and Funeral for Melba will be on January 22 at Harpeth Hilla in Nashville, Visitation will be at 11:30 am and Funeral at 1:30 pm.
