The Hall is considered the top center in Texas. The Hall is the 2021 winner of the Best Sports and Entertainment project in Texas.
Seeing is believing, totally state of the art. A tribute to famous Buddy Holly, one of the founders of Rock and Roll, and one of the architects of Rock and Roll.
Buddy was born in Lubbock on September 7, 1936. He was killed in a plane crash on February 3, 1959 at age 22. The Hall honors that legacy of Buddy Holly inspiring future generations of artists, musicians and entertainers.
The Hall is the state of the art with 220,000 sq ft. It contains 2 theatres, one seats 2297, The Helen DeVitt Jones Theatre and The Crickets Theatre seats 415 people.
There is a Ballet Academy with 22,000 sq ft, 6000 sq ft for regular projects such as lectures, meetings, rehearsals, displays and Food Bristo's everywhere as well as a Rave On Restaurant.
There is also an outdoor covered Amphitheatre. Inside in the entrance, there is a wall of guitars which is totally outstanding.
Some events have occurred already including a massive 85th Birthday celebration for Buddy Holly on Sept 7 as well as many Music events such as Foreigner, a sold-out concert, with many booked music artists such as Dwight Yoakham, Clint Black, Amy Grant, Fab Four, Styx and many more as well as theatre productions.
The Hall is situated on 1300 Mac Davis Lane. Mac was born in Lubbock, Texas and he looked forward to perform there in 2021, but unfortunately he passed away on September 29, 2020 of heart surgery.
