ASCarltonShowbandJunoAwardWinners1975.jpgThe Carlton Showband was formed in Brampton, Ontario in 1963 while performing on St. Patrick's Day.

The band performed across Canada for 35 years from 1964-1996. They always stayed ASCarltonShowbandintheearlyyears.jpgclose to their image on and off the stage.

They disbanded in 1996, however a few origin al members remained to keep going and added some new members and continued to perform.

The original band had a CTV show called Pig and Whistle for 10 years 1967-1977 and was the highest rated show in the CTV collection.

They recorded around 27 albums and had 19 singles on radio. They had many Gold and Platinum albums.

In 1975, they won a Juno for Country Group of the Year. They were nominated in 1980 & 1981 for the same category.

Through the years, some band members left the group and new members were added, and the new group consisted of: Fred White (1963 original member) with new members Greg Donaghey, Larris and Robert Benoit, Aaron Lewis and Roddie Lee.

The original band consisted of: Chris O'Tool-Seamus Grew-Christy McLaughlin-Seann McManus-Fred White-Mike Feeney-Bob Lewis. Later on new members joined the band like Johnny Patterson and Edwin Mitch McCoy

Unfortunately, the only members of the original band remaining alive are Fred White and Seamus Grew. All the rest of the band have passed away.

The Carlton Showband have celebrated their 50 years performing in 2013.
