Bill Mack Texas DJ and Songwriter Passes Away
Inducted Into The Songwriters Hall of Fame

DJ BILL MACK from Texas has passed away on July 31, 2020 at age 88 of Covid-19. He was a famous songwriter as well as wrote many hits for country artists. He wrote BLUE for LeAnn Rimes which became a Grammy winner for song of the year in 1966. Another hit song he wrote was DRINKING CHAMPAGNE became a hit for George Strait. He was a DJ in Texas for decades and had a Midnight Cowboy Trucking Show in Forth Worth for truckers while travelling during the night keeping them occupied. He is also inducted into Country DJ and Radio Hall of Fame in 1982 and the Texas Music Hall of Fame in 1999.
