Oldest Music Store (Wilson & Lee Music) in Canada Closes After 97 Years

One of Canada's oldest music store closes after 97 years in business in Oshawa, Ontario at 87 Simcoe Street N.

History dates back to 1922 when William Wilson, a piano tuner opened the music store. He passed away in 1941 and his 2 brother grandsons, Bill & David began running the business until present, September 2019.

The current shop was built in 1953, It's a throwback to the golden age of music stores, full of tapes, CD's, LP's, sheet music and instruments.

The brothers said that the music business just isn't what it was once and felt that the time is to hang it up.
