Rum Ragged, Traditional group hail from four different outports around Newfoundland and are based in St. John's, Newfoundland. They released their debut self-titled CD in August 2016, and the album was nominated for an ECMA 2017 Award for Roots/Traditional Recording of the Year. Also in summer 2016 the album received two MusicNL nominations for Album of the Year and Folk Roots recording.

The four piece band is made up of: Mark Manning, singer/guitarist-Aaron Collis, singer/guitarist-Anthony Chafe, bodhran-Michael Boone, bass and banjo.

The album contains 11 tracks and here are the titles:

Barque In The Harbour - St. John's Train - Father's Ship - Ghost In The Fog - Salt In His Veins - A Dose of White Owls - The White Hare/Float The Ice - Save Your Money - Living In Alberta - Gay Roving Young Fellow - Al Through The Beer

The album was produced, recorded and mixed by Billy Sutton at The Sound Solution in St. John's, NL.

The band represents the best that the province has to offer. Manning, lead singer stands out on this album and with Aaron Collis have put together a compelling list of traditionals and originals and make the album a joy listening too. Their vocals, harmony and music stands out on this album, and Atlantic Seabreeze gives this fine album a 5 star rating out of 5 stars.
