Nominated For 3 MusicPEI 2017 Awards

Maxine MacLennan, singer/songwriter from Cardigan, PEI has been nominated for 3 MusicPEI 2017 Music Awards for, Roots Recording, Female Solo and Community Contributor.

The new CD, Pieces of Me was released in 2016 produced by Maxine, Jon Matthews and her son-in-law Richard Wood and recorded Jon Mattthew's studio, The Sound Mill, Emyvale, PEI..

In her new album, she sings all songs from the heart and written about people and places in her life that have impacted her in some life changing way. Maxine wrote 8 of the 10 songs on the allbum and co-wrote 2 others with Jolee Patkai.

There are 10 tracks on the album and here are the titles:

The Ceilidh Song-Some Fine Day-Sarah's Song-Forever Love-To The Moon and Back-This Is The Day-Good and Gone-Pieces of Me-Without You-East Coast Coast Girls.

Some of the musicians helping Maxine with the music were:

Richard Wood, Jon Matthews, Jolee Patkai, Sheila MacKenzie, Serge Bernard, Norman Stewart, Thomas Webb, Natalie Williams, Iain MacInnis, Gordon Gallant, Jessica Wood, Kirk White, Brenna & Mairin Fitzpatrick.

Maxine is no stranger to music fans across Canada. She had a number of singles from her previous 3 albums garnered major airplay in Canada, US and Europe, Some even in the top 10 in Europeand US and top 20 in Canada.

Atlantic Seabreeze gives this album a five star rating out of 5 stars. The CD is a mixture of pop and some country and music lovers should look forward to add this CD to their music libraries.
