The Town Heroes based in Halifax, Nova Scotia released their new CD entitled Sunday Movies in 2013 and were nominated for 3 ECMA Awards, Rising Star, Video and Rock Recording and in 2014 at the ECMA Awards in Charlottetown, PEI, they won awards for Rising Star of The Year and Fan's Choice Video of the Year (New York City).

The incredible Band only comprises of two music artists, Mike Ryan, guitar and vocals and Bruce Gillis on drums. Listening and seeing the band perform, one would think they consisted of a number of musicians.

They are a alt-rock power duo with a big sound. Their written songs are catchy lyrical and hard-hitting songs that sound like a party you wish you were at.

Their new second CD, Sunday Movies is a collection of clever well-crafted songs about their musical journey and here are the track titles:

New York City - Berlin Wall - Laser Eyes - Cambridge - Rust Away Sunday Movies - Holdin' Up Grants - Pile of Bones - Bulletproof Cowboys and Indians - Card Reader

The album was produced by the duo, Mike and Bruce. Guitar and vocals were recorded by Mike Ryan in various bedrooms he sometimes sleeps in.

Atlantic Seabreeze gives this ECMA winning CD, 5 stars out of 5 stars on its rating list.
