Gordie MacKeeman and his Rhythm Boys CD Reviewed
PICKIN' n CLICKIN-Nominated for ECMA 2014 Award

Gordie McKeeman & His Rhythm Boys, the multi-award winning band from PEI has just been nominated for another ECMA 2014 Award for Roots/Traditional Group Recording of the Year. The nomination is for their album, PICK' N' CLICKIN.The group were given the Galaxie Award in 2012 at the Ottawa Folk Festival for outstanding performance. Tom Power, host of Deep Roots on CBC, recently called the group his Best Discovery Band at the 2012 ECMA Awards. Their appearances is certainly reflected in their new album with their thrilling music and vocals.Here are the track titles:

The album was produced by winning artist Nathan Wiley and mixed by renowned musician Dale Murray. Guest appearances on the album were: Dale DesRoches drums, Michael Pendergast accordion, Hannah Rose (vocals), Meaghan Blanchard (vocals), Jon Matthews (low D Whistle), Nathan Wiley (lap steel-guitar-vocal-percussion).

The album offers up rockabilly inspired rhythms and MacKeeman's perfectly executed fiddle work. Its roots music that sets much higher than simple reproductions of the past.

Atlantic Seabreeze gives this terrific album a full 5 stars out of 5 stars. Its difficult to put in words how great this album is and once fans pick up this album and hear it, they can judge for themselves.
