Dwayne Cote, fiddler from Cape Breton and Duane Andrews renowned guitarist from Newfoundland have released their second album entitled, The Empress in 2012 and they have received an ECMA 2013 award nomination for Traditional Instrumental Recording of the Year. In 2010 the pair released their debut self-titled album, and won awards from Music NL, Music Nova Scotia, the ECMA'S and an Independent Music Award.

Stepped in the rich musical traditions of Cape Breton and Newfoundland, they have captured the combination of the Celtic sounds from each Province.

The new CD is a mix of different pieces such as an instrumential interpretation of a Newfoundland traditional song, Let Me Fish Off Cape St. Mary's to their homage to Winston Fitzgerald to a timeless Jazz Standard to a Blast of Reels to a Gypsy Jazz Classic to a Waltz. Just an incredible variety of musical tracks and is a delight to listen to says Atlantic Seabreeze.

Here are the track titles:

The Empress-The Iona Sunrise-Let Me Fish Off Cape St. Mary's-Liebesleid-The Hiawatha Set-Georgia On My Mind-The Festival Set-Douce Ambiance-Valse Des Niglos-Love it

This album is a well-crafted one-it blends the old with the new original tunes and the music on the album will surely impress the listeners. Atlantic Seabreeze gives this album top ratings on its rating list.
