Ria Mae, singer/songwriter from Halifax, just got the word that she came second in the Radio Star National Talent Search associated with Canadian Music Week in Toronto. She won $2,500.00 for her song, Under Your Skin.

Ria is also nominated for an ECMA 2012 Music Award for her album, UNDER YOUR SKIN, for Pop Recording of The Year, which takes place in Moncton, N.B. on April 12-15.

The winner of the Talent Search was Ross Roteliuk/Tori Doell from Winnipeg, Manitoba. The winning song was, Still Love You which earned them $10,000.00.

Hundreds of songs were submitted from all across Canada. The contest was presented by Astral Media in association with Canadian Music Week taking place in Toronto later this month. The search was a mission of discovery of potential future stars at a regional, grassroots level and showcasing them to the music industry and general public.
