MTM Peterson Productions is thrilled to announce the addition of Ron Hynes and Terry Kelly to the already stellar line up for the 4th Annual Acoustic Maritime Music Festival to be held at Peterson’s Festival Campground, Kempt Shore, Hants County; July 18th, 19th 20th, 2008. Ron Hynes, man of a thousand songs and author of “Sonny’s Dream” is a six-time East Coast Music Award winner and a Genie Award winner. Fellow Newfoundlander, Terry Kelly was awarded the Order of Canada in 2003 and among his many awards he is the recipient of the prestigious Canadian Country Music Association Humanitarian Award.

The all star talent includes the dynamic blues men Matt Andersen and Charlie A’Court who will be joined at times by the Hupman Brothers. Andersen and A’Court will also be conducting a blues workshop on Saturday afternoon for those who want to learn some blues guitar licks. Bluegrass fans won’t want to miss multi ECBMA award winners and IBMA show case performers the Spinney Brothers. This year we again include the Maritime folk music of multi time ECMA winner Dave Gunning, multi ECMA nominee Amelia Curran and the high energy huge sound the polished dynamo Irish Mythen.

Ian Sherwood, grand prize winner of the prestigious California-based West Coast Songwriters' International Song Contest, will perform and participate in song writing workshops. Nova Scotia Country Music Hall of Fame inductee, John Simms and new comers Heckman & Downs will delight you with original lyrics and music. It is the aim of MTM Peterson Productions to bring world class artists together to perform, share their ideas with each other and future artists and to bring these artists up close and personal with fans in a safe, secure family event.
