On the CD's cover, is a picture of Scott's great-grandfather, Charlie Dyer who was a finalist at the Canadian Open Fiddle Contest in Shelburne, Ontario in 1951. Scott's mother Carolyn, accompanied Charlie at the contest that year. On this CD, Scott's mother plays piano. The tunes on the CD are more of recentage vintage, they were all chosen because they were composed and are performed in the style of the pioneers of Canadian fiddling. The great fiddle sounds of the late great Don Messer can be heard throughout the CD.
