They grew up in a musical family and it is no wonder that these sisters crafted their sound through a unique fusion of their background in country, folk, jazz and classical music. With years of training, including their Bachelors Degrees in Music Performance from the University of Victoria, the sisters have found their home in Country Music.
With Carli on vocals and guitar, and Julie on vocals and violin, these powerhouses will fill your soul with joy and warmth through their seamless harmonies and heartfelt songwriting. No bond compares to that of sisters, and the same is said about the blend of their kindrid voices.
With two EP's in their back pocket as Carli & Kalie Kennedy , these sisters are set to debut their first LP as Twin Kennedy in spring 2015. Produced by multiple CCMA and Juno award winning super-star GEORGE CANYON and Juno nominated producer GRAHAM SHARKEY, the album is beautifully honest account of the ebb and flow of the navigation through love and life.
Music is as inseparable from their lives as they are from each other. Everything starts a a duo. They rehearse together, live together, they write together and tour together. They have performed at several big venues to date such as CMW Week 2014 in Toronto, Florida's 2014 Listening Room Festival, Sunfest, Merritt Mountain Music Festival, Vancouver Island Exhibition,The Vancouver Olympics as well as the 2014 Live at Heart Festival in Sweden.
Twin Kennedy were nominated for 7 BCCMA Award nominations since 2012 and they have been a highly recognized duo throughout the West Coast music community. They are often writing and performing with Nashville's best. Now plan are in the works for a cross Canada tour in 2015. Country music has found its newest sweethearts in Twin Kennedy.
