Meet Carolyn Holyoke, pianist from New Brnswick. She has been collaborating with Celtic musicians most of her life. Her love of traditional Scottish and Irish bands in her early years led her to musicians in the Maritimes.

Carolyn studied at the University of New Brunswick, University of Western Otario and taught music in the public school system. From conducting school bands and choirs, directing a barbershop chorus, singing in choral ensembles to playing school band instruments including violin and bagpipes, she has enthusuastically adapted to the opportunities that have come her way.

She was a winner of Frederiction's Diane London Award, and she also composes and arranges both vocal and instrumental music and adjudicates music festivals.

In recent years, she toured with the band Brollachan and ECMA nominees Kathleen Gory-McSorley and Derrick Paul Miller. Touring with theses artists, she had the opportunity to perform in Scotland, Ireland, USA, Ontario, Quebec and Atlantic Canada.

Carolyn played piano and accordion in concerts, festivals and events such as ECMA and Music New Brunswick showcses, Contact East, Celtic Colours, Stan Rogers Folk Festival, the Nova Scotia International Tattoo and the All-Ireland Fleadh Cheoil.
