Buck Owens had the No 1 hit, (My Heart Skips The Beat) on the country charts May 16, 1964, (56 years ago)Country Music Legend HANK LOCKLIN had the No 1 hit PLEASE HELP ME I'M FALLING on May 16, 1960 for 14 straight weeks and was in the top 10 for 30 weeks. He had 70 charted singles with 65 albums over his career. Other famous popular hits were, Fraulein, Geisha Girl, Let Me Be The One, Why Baby Why and countless others. He passed away on March 8, 2009 at age 91. He was a member of the Grand Ole Opry for 56 years.
