By John Gavin, Saturday, March 30, 2019

ASGunningplusCornierCDTwo.jpgDave Gunning and J.P. Cormier both individually celebrated and critically acclaimed teamed up together to produce their debut CD entitled TWO.

The CD was recently nominated for an ECMA 2019 Award for Folk Recording of the year.

Two. Two guitars, two voices. Two of the most exceptional singer-songwriters to ever rise from the East Coast. Two old friends, but making their first album together.

On all songs, Dave and J.P. each played a guitar and sang along between growlers of Uncle Leo's fine beer.

There are 10 songs on the CD and here are the titles:

Never Picked Cotton - Home To Mary -Johnny Armstrong-

Songbird Valley - Backroads - Katie o' the Gowrie - Lowlands

Brothers - Poor Ellen Smith - Sit With Kings

The CD was recorded, mixed and mastered at Wee House of Music Co. in Lyons Brook, Nova Scotia.

It's as real as it gets, two friends, brothers, compromising performers, making the music of their lives.

This is a great listening CD and one can't tell whose singing either Dave or J.P. as their voices are much the same as each other. The guitar work is outstanding.

Atlantic Seabreeze gives a full 5 star rating out of 5 stars for this album and forsees more award nominations and perhaps an ECMA award.
