Christmas was Harry's favourite time of year. In fact, Harry had his apartment all decorated including the tree and Christmas Presents wrapped, in preparation for Christmas 1989, just before he passed away on December 21 of cancer. Harry's family all gathered together to celebrate his life his apartment just after his death.
His funeral was on Boxing Day, December 26 at St. Leo's Church in Mimico
Harry was born in Bell Island, NL. During his short career, Harry recorded 26 albums and several went Gold. He even had his own nightclub in Toronto (Lakeshore) called The Conception Bay for awhile.
For a period of time Harry starred in the TV show, At The Caribou, which was a smash hit with The Caribou Showband hosted by the late great Johnny Burke.
