Don Warden Legendary Musician Passes Away at 87
Managed Dolly Parton For 5 Decades

Don Warden, legendary pedal steel guitatist and manager of Dolly Parton for 5 decades has passed away on March 11, 2017 at 87 years old. He was from Mt. Grove, Missouri, US.

He was a founding member of the Porter Wagoner Trio. He & Wagoner joined the Grand Ole Opry in 1957. Three years later, he began a 14 year run on the Porter Wagoner TV Show. Dolly Parton joined the Porter Wagoner show in 1966 and performed on the show until 1974.

In 2008, Don was inducted into the Steel Guitar Hall of Fame.

Dolly Parton called him, Mr Everything. He was like a father to her as well as a brother, a partner and one of her best friends. She said Don's passing was like loosing a piece of her heart.
