The 5 day Festival is a celebration of a small town and is celebrating its 53rd Year. Tyne Valley is Home of The Canadian Oyster Shucking Championship. The whole week is one of many activities with focus on Oysters such as dinners shucking contests as well as a giant parade music and many other activities.
The major highlite is the Rock The Boat Fest on August 5. Major music acts to be announced in a few weeks Last years artists were: Trooper-The Trews-Trinity Bradshaw-The Ellis family Band-Amanda Jackson Band.
The Music Fest is considered one of the top music events of the summer in Atlantic Canada. Last year thousands of music fans attended the festival with rave reviews. Ample camping is available and a large Beer garden.
