Gordie MacKeeman and His Rhythm Boys from P.E.I. just released their latest CD entitled, Laugh, Dance & Sing in October 2015.

The CD contains 13 tracks all of which are presented with perfection. Many of the tracks are very danceable and while listening to the music & song, its difficult to sit down and you want to tap your feet and get up and dance.

Two tracks are traditional, Ridin' The Fiddle and Black Mountain Rag. Gordie is featured on all the tracks with his extordinary fiddle playing and even sings on some of the tracks. Other band members Thomas Webb, Peter Cann and Mark Geddes play various instruments including guitars, banjo, manolin, drum, piano, organ , percussion, bass, cello and steel guitar and Thomas and Peter sing some vocals.

Since this album has a generic roots label, there are heavy influences of bluegrass, western swing, Celtic and even Scottish country dance music. It is a great package all rolled into one. The group have a high energy flair, crisp musicianship and a rhythm and roots sound. The tunes are unique and entertaining as they are.

Other musicians who helped the band on were Dale Murray who played acoustic guitar, electric 12 string guitar and percussion on two tracks and Jeremy Rusu on accordion. The CD was produced, recorded and mixed by Dale Murray from Port Howe, Nova Scotia.

Here are the track titles:

Ridin' The Fiddle-Song To A Young Seagull-Cavan Road-DustyDerby-Back 40 Ripoff-Goodbye City Lights-Black Mountain Rag-2 Balls 2 Strikes-Hot Vacation-A Maritime Lullabye-King's Highway-Bake Sale-Pickle King Polka

Every track on this CD is as good as the other and Atlantic Seabreeze gives the album a full 5 star rating, and forsees many MusicPEI and ECMA nominations and awards for this incredible album.
