Paper Lions Music Video Surpasses 5 Million YouTube Views . Bicycles, pogo sticks, a marching band, and a catchy song. It’s no wonder PEI indie-rock band Paper Lions’ music video Travelling has exceeded 5 million views on YouTube.

Funded by Video Fact, Travelling ended up in heavy rotation on Much Music’s hit program Much Mega Hits during a time when Paper Lions were doing a lot of travelling themselves. We played about 300 shows in 2007, so it came out at a time when we were very busy, says drummer David MacDonald. The video loaded to a fledgling YouTube, where it remained relatively dormant until late 2011, when it began mysteriously collecting views at an exponential rate. A hundred views a day quickly became several hundred, then thousands, peaking at around 15,000 views per day. In the last two and a half years, on average, ten to fifteen people were watching the video at any given moment.

Paper Lions are currently touring Canada, and will be making stops in Ontario, Quebec and The Maritimes in October. The band is in the process of writing a new record, planned for release in mid-2015
