Ashley MacIsaac performed at St. Marys Church, Indian River, PEI on Saturday, Sept 6, 2014 to almost a full house. Ashley an award- winnning Cape Breton Fiddler raised the roof with his outstanding fiddling. The Church pews were almost full in this beautiful church, which now has turned into an concert venue, one of there finest on the Island with unbelievable sound. Ashley commented about the venue, that the church was so inspiring that he returned a second time two years later and was totally excited to return to perform.

Ashley began the show was a tribute to Buddy MacMaster, the great Cape Breton fiddler who passed away on Aug 20 at the age of 89. There wasn't a dry eye in the audience. He continued the show and began with jigs and reels followed with contemporary numbers that had the audience spell-bound with his outstanding fifddle playing. Ashley was in top form and told jokes in between his fiddle playing.

Ashley was accompanied by Seth Peters on guitar and J Andrews on deejay/percussion. Later in ther show Ashley introduced the audience to ECMA award winning music artist Wendy MacIssac from Cape Breton to accompany him on the piano who also played some fiddle tunes to the delight of the audience.

Just an top notch concert and one to be remembered especially during PEI's celebration marking the 150th Anniversary of the Charlottetown Conference.
