What an incredible concert, for its debut on PEI, with announcements of a follow-up Rock The Boat in 2015! On a beautiful warm day in Western PEI ,fans and music artists couldn't ask for anything more. The music artists showcased outstanding music and songs.

Meaghan Blanchard, a Country Singer, and an ECMA and PEI awards winner from Hunter River, PEI opened the festival with an unforgettable performance. A very popular artist, sang many of her hits and new songs to be included in her new upcoming CD. She, by the way is scheduled for a UK tour in November.

Following Meaghan, Gordie MacKeeman and His Rhythm Boys performed with rave reviews. The group just returned from a major tour in UK, and they sounded better than ever. Gordie originally from New Glasgow, N.S. now living in PEI, with his own fiddling and step dancing style, certainly got the fans roused up. The whole band put on an exciting performance.

Following Gordie, Cape Breton's major music artist, Jimmy Rankin performing at his best, and never sounded better. With over an hour of singing, he sang many of his hits and new material from his new album entitled, Back Road Paradise. Fans clapped and cheered to each song, and finally in the end of his performance, he received a rousing standing ovation. What an incredible performance!

Following Jimmy, the amazing Alan Doyle (Great Big Sea) from Pettty Harbour, Newfoundland aroused the fans with over an hour performance with his new band. Alan never sounded better, singing hits from Great Big Sea and new material from his new album. The audience were in awe with he and the Band's showcase, especially when he did a duet with Jim Cuddy of Blue Rodeo fame. At his showcase end, he received standing ovations.

Ther final act of the night was over an hour performance by The famous Band Jim Cuddy and Blue Rodeo. Jim and the band were at their best and sang many of their major hits and new material from their last album entitled, In Our Nature. What else can we say about the famous Canadian Band who performed for over 25 years together, and gave all they had with their incredible sound. Standing ovations were given to their performance.

This musicfest will go down in history as one of the best events on PEI in 2014 so far this summer.. For a festival with its initial debut, it was well organized with hundreds of volunteers, an incredible sound system and much more, fans can't wait until 2015.
