He was best known for his chart winning song, NOBODY KNOWS. His death was due to ongoing complications from previous stomach surgeries, as well as digestive issues. Prior to become a country music star in the mid 90's, he battled and overcame Ewing's sarcoma, a rare form of cancer.
Kevin was from Redding, California was granted a wish from Make-A-Wish which he used to meet producer, David Foster, from Canada/Chicago. He realized they only grant Make-A-Wishes to people they think may die. Months after meeting David Foster however he was told he'd beaten cancer. Kevin's meeting with Foster led to his break, as the producer helped him land his first record contract. After his first album was released, the song, Nobody Know's, the song was No 1 for 4 weeks in a row. He received several awards and nominations following this No 1 release.
Kevin's stomach issues were a side effect from the aggressive cancer treatment he underwent as a teen. He died at his mother's home in Fair Oaks, California after a lenghthy stay in hospital.
