The East Coast Music Awards (ECMA) 2014 closed on a high note on Sunday, April 6.

The spectacular Gala Awards Show was held in the New Convention in Charlottetown, PEI

with an amazing crowd of over 3000 in attendance.

The show went on without a hitch hosted by Seamus O'Regan originally with the morning crew of CTV TV.

The music artists were:

Amelia Curran, Ashley Condon, Cam Smith, Dave Gunning, David Myles,

Jimmy Rankin, Kayo, Les Hotesses D'Hilaire, Meaghan Blanchard, Mo Kenney,

Old Man Luedecke, Paper Lions, Tim Chaisson, Tonya Kennedy,

The Motor League, The Town Heroes and Quake Matthews.

Honourary Awards were given out to:

Directors Special Achievement Award to Rita Mac Neil

Musicians Achievement Award to Jay Smith

Dr. Helen Creighton Lifetime Achievement Award to The Chaisson Family Trio

(Brothers Peter and Kevin and cousin Lemmie Chaisson)

During ECMA week several music awards were given out and

7 awards were given out at the Gala on Sunday to:

Group Recording-Mary Jane Lamond and Wendy MacIssac

Solo Recording-Dave Gunning (No More Pennies)

Songwriter-Dave Gunning (These Hands)

Song of the Year-Jenn Grant (I've Got Your Fire)

Album-Old Man Luedecke (Tender Is The Night)

Entertainer- Barra MacNeils Video- The Town Heroes (New York City)

All venues were filled with patrons all Music Week with great music

by artists from the 4 East Coast Provinces.
